 Gettin' Higher Choir 21st Benefit Concerts for Mozambique with Special Guest Coco Love Alcorn

The 300-member Gettin’ Higher Choir is directed by Soibhan Robinsong & Denis Donnelly. Their guest, Coco, is a delightful performer, joyful and genuine, soulful and compelling. Coco sings a combination of jazz, pop, R&B and folk. Coco’s voice has been hailed as extraordinary, beautiful and stunning. Her playful, witty character, love of improvising, and her willingness to engage with the audience have made Coco a presence on the Canadian music scene. The concerts are Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 pm at the Alix Goolden Performance Hall, 907 Pandora Avenue in Victoria. Who We Are

The Caia Connection is a grassroots organization based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, which fundraises to support educational opportunities for youth and supports the work of the Kuwangisana organization in rural Mozambique.

Kuwangisana is a well established non-profit/ non-governmental holistic community organization that provides programs to support and empower local people in rural areas of Sofala Province of Mozambique in attaining education and heath services.

Kuwangisana operates in the Caia District communities of Sena, Kapasseni, Caia, and Chemba, as well as many rural villages.
